Anders Leonard Zorn (1860 –1920) was Sweden’s artist who obtained international success as a painter, sculptor and printmaker in etching. But also his graphic work, where he is among the most talented of all times, is well-known. Known as the "Swedish Impressionist", the painter Anders Zorn is best known for his alfresco nudes. These female figures were mainly depicted outdoors, using the plein air painting technique, often by the sea and in natural light. He strove to reflect a synthesis between nature and the human body manipulating paint onto canvas with rapid brushstrokes. His works were particularly popular in America at the time of his death, his prints sometimes selling for more than those of his mentor Rembrandt. Paintings by Anders Zorn can now be seen in several of the best art museums around the world.

Not worth even the kindle price.

I got this book as a lark on my kindle, basically test-driving it before I considered buying it. Though the images inside weren't as bad as some that I've seen in these "publish-it-yourself" art books (that's not saying anything, as those I've seen have mostly had horrible reproductions) the images are still of only nominal resolution, with many being lower-res than I can find of the same images on Zorn's Wikipedia Commons page. You get some with little crop/zooms of details of the image, yet for the most part the resolution quality is mediocre at best. Though the images may faithfully keep Zorn's colors, because of the low resolution you miss his beautifully efficient brush-strokes, which is actually what I love most about Zorn's work.
I actually recommend two routes, one cheaper the other pricier: either collect Zorn's work online, as it's all generally in the public domain and so it's all proliferated pretty commonly, or just invest in one of the higher-end Zorn artbooks.

Don't waste your money.

Terrible quality. Complete waste of money. Cannot derive any artistic inspiration from these plates. Feels like it was published in 1955.
