About the Author
Patrick Bet-David has been called a renaissance man because of his interesting philosophies on politics, sports, history, humor, and life. He has spoken in front of tens of thousands of people over the past thirteen years on these topics and more. Patrick Bet-David was born and raised in revolutionary Iran. He immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of twelve in 1990. Bet-David joined the U.S. Army in 1997, where he was stationed with the 101st Airborne Division. After he was discharged from the army, Bet-David got involved in the financial services industry. In October of 2009 Bet-David launched People Helping People Insurance Agency (also known as PHP) with a unique vision to restore America by bringing back the free enterprise system to American families. PHP now has agents in thirty-three states where they market life insurance, annuities, and other financial instruments to families.

Good Advice in a Short Well-Organized Format

There is nothing spectacular or novel in this short little book, but it nonetheless will be valuable to the person who puts it to use. What I liked was the short and to-the-point chapters (what the author calls "laws"), many of which contained exercises at the end to get you thinking about how the topic can be applied to your own life. There are 25 of these "laws" and for the most part they cover well-known territory. In other words the material which is not breathtakingly original is brought to gather well and organized to allow the reader to put it to effective use. It's a practical book. The author illustrates his points with examples from his own life, which is at times inspiring.
If you are looking to do something different with your life and get some motivation and direction then I think this little volume will be useful to you. If you just read a bunch of success type books and are looking for something new you probably won't find it here.

No fluff. To the point

I've read my fair share of self help, business minded books. I even grabbed quite a few books from Borders before it closed its doors. This book wasn't on the shelves yet. But I have to say I really loved this book. It lacks the additional fluff that most authors put into the pages. It's very direct and to the point which I like coming from a military background. It's not the next big thing, or how to get rich overnight. Whatever your line of work is or possible business or goal you want to achieve, I'd recommend this book simply for the fact it reminds you of the hardwork you'll have to do and the faith you'll have to have, but not see. I promise you that you will recommend this book to others and your conversation will be which "Law" you liked the most and why.

An Inspiring Journey

"Doing the Impossible" has great topics that motivate, inspire, and focus on self-awareness and self-improvement. Patrick Bet-David's life story as it is told serves as an example of a dream fulfilled. It's been told that achievers have always been dreamers. Dreams that seem impossible at first, but nevertheless, were achieved by perseverance and hard work.
This book is truly the accomplishment of Patrick Bet-David, who struggled with many obstacles in his life but accomplished the impossible. A powerful read packed with inspiring quotes. It is also filled with humor, and wonderful advice to get anyone up and moving and becoming all they can be. I recommend this book to people of all ages and backgrounds. It is uplifting and enlightening. I am glad I read it and you will be too.
